On February 10, 1863, Charles Sherwood Stratton and Lavinia Warren were married in New York City. What makes this wedding special is that Stratton was better known by his stage name, General Tom Thumb. In the mid to late 1800’s, Tom Thumb was a star show biz attraction. He got his start in show biz with the master showman, P.T. Barnum. Together they toured the U.S. and Europe putting on shows for everyone including the rich, famous and powerful.
